Re: “Sleeved” block opinion identification
We need a closer shot of the sleeve material to tell you for sure. Does the sleeve appear to be the same color ??? Stock sleeves are only steel about .060" thick... which means you essentially have a "dark ring" close to the center of each cylinder bore and then a lighter outer aluminum sleeve surround. A "sleeved" block will be the same color all of the way through.

That's all I can/will comment on without more information and better images |

Re: “Sleeved” block opinion identification
After this FB post, this is definitely a block guard.

I don’t know man sounds legit from what I know... “sleeved” at magnum performance... “here say” that is but other tuner guy I know claims it’s sleeved. B18c 84mm.Plus, does look like a center line mark in between each sleeve. I’m curious as to why you think block guard |

Re: “Sleeved” block opinion identification
If there's ever doubt over this sort of thing, I always advise to err on the side of caution.
Pointless to try to save a few hundred dollars on a "sleeved" block to find out the walls aren't what was wanted or needed, and have wasted money on internals and assembly in the process of trying to make it work. |
Re: “Sleeved” block opinion identification
From the Facebook photos, I believe it is sleeved. I still haven't seen a close enough shot to say definitively that it is in fact sleeved, but based on these photos... I would say 80% sleeved. The blockguard portion appears to be segmented and that suggests that the sleeve and the blockguard are one piece per cylinder and are therefore likely machined into the block.
