fully built b16 in crx vs stock jdm itr in crx?? need yr help ht
Whts up ht I need YOUR HELP, I've been wanting to go all motor cause that's where I think my hearts at so I bought jdm itr motor while back saved up for shell and couldnt find much so I bought my guys bike n traded it for crx ...guy who I got it from had every single receipt seemed very legit - crx has b16 with stroker 84.5 lightweight crank ( crower) , stock bore 81mm..has comp stage 2 grind camS, supertech oversized 1mm valves ,titanium springs retainers, je pistons @10:5:1, eagle h beams, fluidamper crank pulley, port and polish, centerforce clutch n
Lightened flywheel, moroso oil pan, msd, itr mani, but he was eventually gna go turbo. I'm wondering if I have better chance of making all motor power if I just throw the jdm itr motor in or should I juat stick with the b16.. because my guy wants to buy my itr and i figure if I dnt like the numbers on b16 I can just spray it ,what do you guys think? No bashing me just asking for some advice before I take it to pro function for tune coming up here, appreciate it ..

My CRX has a JDM type R swap. Its a good swap, makes good power, and is dependable. A free flowing exhaust is key. I have Skunk2 megapower exhaust and pick up .2 tenths through a cut-out.

Thanks ya we r about to start goin at it now took car to my guys, only thing I thought of that sucks is I can't rock my s80 its hydro and b16 in it is cable and car is set up for cable so I'm gna have to use ys1. It's alright though with motor out shouldn't take too long just to switch transmissions. Skunk 2 would be nice I was thinkin the world sport if not cause rexS look good with muffler type exhaust instead of cans

The Skunk2 Megapower exhaust is the worst purchase I have made for the car. It doesnt flow enough for an R swap. If it did I wouldnt pick up .2 tenths through a cut-out. I would get something with a true 2 1/2 I.D. the skunk2 is about 2 1/4.

I have a 3 in on the rex now cause guy who had it b4 me was gonna go turbo I need a better header though and like i said gna have to switch transmissions ,the s1 has really short gears ain't it? I think ill be happy with that even though I can't use my s80. Anyone have a straight pipe or something similar to a spec 2 on theirs? My buddy had a guy make one for his del sol and if I have one made I'm wondering what size to go

I have the 98 Jdm ITR swap in my 88 Crx si. Get a full race traction bar. I have cable to hydraulic converter and it works fine, however I will be switching to full hydraulic conversion in the future. I daily drive this car and run it at the track. I have had zero problems with this car unlike my other cars..

I have traction bars and ok we ve finished the swap ,car runs but I think the timing is off..I hate msd but was forced to use it cause its converted to obd1 .it idles weird but if i rev it a little it almost seems normal throughout rpms. I am going to try posting a YouTube vid of it on here. I hate msd seems to always be nothing but problems
