I dont know what events I will be attending or classes I will fit into to. Next year I plan on putting the CRX on the car trailer and having some fun. I am making 510whp on E85 and have a 4 pt cage to install this winter so I should be legal to run 10's. I know about the IFO events in Dallas and San Antonio. Are there any other events worth the trip?

I think it would be worth it if it's not too bad of a drive!

The 4pt roll bar doesn't make you legal for 10 second passes though.
A 4pt is treated as if you have no roll bar.
With a 4pt or without the 4pt you can run down to 11.49.

A 5pt bar allows you to go down 9.99 though.
Most people go with the 6pt at this point so they have the door bar on the passenger side as well.

Also if you end up going 135mph or faster you'll need a 10pt cage and window net. So keep that in mind. When I did mine I went full 10pt because I only wanted to do it once. 10 second pass you could very well be in the 135+mph range.

But there will be Noble and Tulsa in OK, those are generally pretty good. I know Ill be at those.

My tuner thinks my car will run deep 10's in the 130's. Yeah I am going to have to re-evaluate. Anything past a 4 point and the car is unsafe to drive on the street with no helmet. It looks like I will need to stick with the 1/8th mile tracks. A helmet and roll bar are all that are required to run a 6.40-6.99.
