Is it true that ...

So my first time out at the track I shatter the insides of my pressure plate. I have my diff welded, is it true that is what caused the breakage?

Most likely. Need more information like what plate you are running, and what tires slicks your running

welded diff is very hard on your drivetrain, there is no question about that
