SFWD Staging Brake Setup

SFWD Staging Brake Setup
Hi guys,
I am going to delete the ABS system in my RSX so might as well plumb every possible combination according to SFWD spec.
I have drawn up the plan of the the brake system.
Is anyone know if the check valve is needed in between the brake bias valve and the staging brake (aka hydraulic hand brake)?
Did i missed something in the setup?

No, you would not want to use the check valve. Im assuming you'd be using the CNC inline staging brake. That hand brake has an internal check valve that only activates when you pull the handle and opens back up once you release the handle. Giving free flow back to the brake system.

Re: SFWD Staging Brake Setup
Ill be honest, Im not 100% sure. The reason Im not too sure is Ive never setup sfwd brakes with a brake booster that previously used ABS. The problem is there is no prop valve that went in between the front brakes and rear brakes together like in a non ABS system. Instead the two ports off the master cylinder goes into the ABS system, then two lines go off that into the front and then two go off towards the back but hit a prop valve first. Instead a non ABS system the two outlet ports from the MC goes to a prop valve and that splits everything off each way for you.
But this is how I would do it instead. Id use the Wilwood Combination Proportioning Valve. It has two inlet ports to come off the MC. One for the front and one for the rear. Then it has two outlets for each front brake and one outlet for the rear. And the rear is separated from the front and has a bias valve built in. This valve will mitigate the need for lots of T's, fittings and extra custom length lines.

Depends on if your using skinnys in the back or not. A true SFWD setup only uses the pedal on the front brakes, and the staging brake controls the rear brakes.

Unless you plan to drive the car on the streets often, Id go the booster delete and fronts off the pedal only setup.

Re: SFWD Staging Brake Setup
Is there a reason why most SFWD runs with separated front(pedal) and rear(hydraulic handbrake) brake?
If the rear gets locked up easily on the skinny tyres, can't we use the brake bias valve to adjust accordingly to avoid rear locking up with skinnies?

Re: SFWD Staging Brake Setup
Because the handbrake/rear calipers are only used for staging the car not to slow the car down.
