NOPI - TUNERVISION (TONIGHT)............on Speed Channel....6/27/06
 

I believe they are "airing" the 30 minute show of NOPI - Tunervision tonight.....I think it is going to be 'footage' from NDRA - NOPI, AZ......

Hopefully they have good coverage of when we "kissed" the wall at the end.

We have tried for the last two years to get them to at least show a 2sec blip of the street class results but no. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif There is a lot of good racing at NOPI I hope someday they turn this around so people that watch the show can see it.

oh it isn't even chrissy albice anymore.. i forgot the new chicks name.. the show wasn't bad, definately wish they showed more racing but i'll still watch it.. better than no show at all right, there was also some nice clutchmasters coverage. it does kind of remind me of girls gone wild or wild party girls.. maybe jbird wishes he thought of GGW first https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

I DVR'd it. Watched it this evening when I got home from work. Fast forwarded through 90% of it. Lots of clapped out hoes, even more clapped out rappers (worst freestyle EVAR) and about 3 drag cars. Both CM cars and the boosted notchback. :sigh: Oh well.

not that it was not already said - but i think that was bda coverage. We went to that race and between rounds people were working on cars and going nuts - fans got to see the big and little guys work and work thru the night. I think some coverage of the cars in and out of the pits would have been great for everyone.

not to mention that they have to see that the "grass roots" guys are holding this thing together. small amounts of tv time for those guys goes along way.

I like NOPI and their series but sometimes I think they are trying to promote a party rather then a race series. That’s nice and all but when your trying to get real racers and sponsors that just does not look good. I realize the turn out was low and they seemed to focus on the classes with at least 4 cars—but come on there was more drifting coverage then drag racing. Now how much would it have sucked to think that was going to happen at every event and show up and no drift. I just don’t buy the whole we have no control aspect—I believe that for the first or second year, but when its time to reup the contract you need to step up. WHAT?! I didnt even know nopi/ndra was even around anymore. weird. lol

Import racing period needs to start building some rivalries on Camera. Even if they make things looks worse than they are it will keep people watching from week to week. This weeks coverage was defiantely limited in my book in terms of racing.
