You'll probably get way more help if this was in the Track section. I'll report it for the move https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/embeer.gif

It would probably be best if you call your local track. They have all the rules and guidelines that you need to meet if you wish to race.

On a side note, unless you are running Drag Radials or slicks stay out of the water box. Street tires only drag water down the track and make it unsafe for everyone else. Do a dry burnout if you want to heat'em up a bit or clean them off. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

In NJ you need a helmet no matter how fast you run. If your car is turbo charged, supercharged, or has N02 and did not come that way from the factory you will need a fire jacket. A new rule that was put into affect last year. Make sure when you go your car does not leak fluids, has all it lug nuts, and normal safety crap like that.

I believe it is NJ state law that you need a helmet to drag race. All the tracks in NJ that I have been to you need one.

Maple Grove in PA you don't need one until you go 13.99 or quicker

Those rules are either state law like the guy above me said or just their own rules.

NHRA rules state helmet required for quicker than 13.99.

Just check with the track.

at englishtown you need a helmet even if you run 18s. you can rent one for like $4. if you are driving a force inducted car you need a fire jacket which they sell for $60 i believe.
