Re: My Street to Drag CRX Build
Nice build, did you have any clearance issues with the ati damper and the radius arms on the traction bar?
|

Re: My Street to Drag CRX Build
dont know what traction bar your running but i had clearance issues in a ef with the ati had about a 1/4" once the car was on the ground. ended up fabbing up a new one to fix that

Re: My Street to Drag CRX Build
Went to Los Angeles this weekend and picked up some parts I had ordered. Got my Hondata CPR, Torco RTF, BWR k-coil plate, BWR 4" Bellmouth, and Hardrace Rear Lower Control Arms.
I also stopped by Insane Shafts since I was in the area to get some 1000hp axels, but they were probably already gone for one of the events going on this weekend. Also talked to Progress Suspension for drag coil overs and am now on their pre-order list for their Mid-June release of their new dampening adjustable coil overs with 450ff and 800rr springs. http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...ps159a6f4c.jpg |
Re: My Street to Drag CRX Build
Haven't updated in a while and have been really busy with my RV parking project on the side of my house, trips and life in general but I was able to get some things done in between all that.
Heres my side yard project I have been doing that has taken up a lot of my time. http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3bae21bb.jpg Finished product http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5f1fb096.jpg Decided to trade in my old truck buy a new tow rig a few weeks ago also haha http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2dd0b438.jpg Hood Exit Done http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...ps06a69dfa.jpg Got all the hot parts Black Ceramic Coated, Came out really well to me http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...ps91f21b3e.jpg Hot parts bolted up and new Hondata CPR Kit on http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...psab5d6636.jpg Heres how it sits now with pretty much all the big things bolted up http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...ps48f2f856.jpg http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/...psade80cc5.jpg Just need to order Brad Penn oil, coolant, spark plugs and do a few little things here and there and the motor should be ready to fire up. Also waiting on Progress Suspension to release their new coil over set up that is updated with more adjustability like dampening and will probably go with 450ff and 800rr springs. Thanks for looking! |
Re: My Street to Drag CRX Build
Nice. I liked the whole thing. Definitely a fun read. The shroud on that radiator is awesome, gives me some ideas for my own.
Also, is the hood exit much better than a side bumper exist? Or was space just that cramped? |
Re: My Street to Drag CRX Build
Nice build!!

Re: My Street to Drag CRX Build

This is really one of my biggest "worries" I have right now with the build and can't wait to get my suspension so I can see what happens. I was thinking of doing a custom radius arm on that side but the more I think about it, if it doesn't fit then I will probably sell the race version and get the street one. I'm sure it will be better than a stock pulley still, but I want to rev higher than I was last time at 9400rpm. |
