Glad there are more and more people seeing the plus side in going auto

BOP transmissions have a different bolt pattern. I'm pretty sure that's what he's talking about.

Awesome build by the way! Can't wait to see it make a pass.

you might reconsider going with a glide. I was going to go with a th400 myself then decided against it after talking with a few people that run and build them, the reason being the th400 has about 35lbs+ of rotating weight over the glide. either trans can hold a lot of power but if your going to run a th400 I would highly suggest going with aluminum internals to cut down a lot of the weight because of the torqueless wonders honda's are it will really cut down the power to the tire. Hughes performance does ton's and ton's of auto gm tranny's for really really fast cars, you might look them up. The guys I race with run th400's in their drag radial cars and run 7.30's at mid to high 190mph traps at 3400lbs so I trust their opinion when it comes to tranny's

anyway good luck car looks like its coming along nicely

ive talked to hutch i know the glide is much better but i have a built th400 for free and dont want to build the k24 yet. if i had a few extra bux i would run a mild glide and toss pistons rods and valvesprings in to the k24 and rev it would be a lot better for sure. but main goal is to have it moving on its own power this season.

since i just want to get it going probbaly going to run a stock vega converter and trade my s366 for my buddys 6265 t3 for faster spool and less torque converter issues. ill spray it if i have to but would rather not,and cant really spend a 1k on a nice converter right now. ill do that later when the motor is built and has a real turbo.

Just curious, but who is making the glide to k series bell housing adapter and converter spacer/flywheel plate? This thread has got all kinda wheels rolling in my head. Really anxious to see this thing move on its on power.
