Were they like that when you received them?
If you run out of options from end users, contact M&H and send them the pictures. They may help you rule out a manufacturing defect (or simply deny it), but you may get something positive out of it if they either have good FMEA documentation or an engineer that could tell you whether it's an expected mfg defect and what the end effect could be when used.

Had a set that looked almost the same. Contacted m&h and they offered me a new set at cost and that was it, so i switch to M/T's...I wouldn't risk it personally...

Re: Mh skinies problem
What is the DOT date code on the tires? The date code is the last 4 digits of the DOT number. Found on the sidewall of the tire near the rims edge if mounted.
Did you buy them new and how long have you had them?
Tires do not last forever, average life span of a tire is 5 years. You have to keep them aired up and in good use.
Any tire whether M&H or MT or even regular car tires can do this with age, time, and if the tires are neglected (rode on with low air pressure).

The rubber is just a layer in the design. That issue wouldn't bother me, I have worse spots on the inside if my skinnies but it's not going to just blow up......

Re: Mh skinies problem
I posted this same problem a few years ago with mine. I ordered from jegs and it was a manufacturer defect so they sent me a new set and they were fine. Please return and exchange those so we don't see an accident thread.

Mine have been that way since last year, haven't had a problem with them deflating or anything. Going with moroso for my next set.

Mine skinies are only a few months old and they are junk the one has some many cracks on them i dont know if i want to run them let alone buy another set, i think its bull **** that they only want to give you a discount when they have somethnig wrong with the compound of the tire.
