Erick ran in a the first 9 sec pass in a tube chassis car that he now uses for hot rod. Leslie Durst did in a tube chassis crx later that same year. Both cars where pro cars. That class is pretty much dead on the west coast. The first 9 in a street chassis is still up for grabs.

Here's an update guys we got really close to making the 350whp I'm sure if we pushed it some more it would of made it but for now this should do, the car will be out in February at ifo Bakersfield, looking for that 9 sec pass

Man id even help out with this 9 sec goal by donating my CRX and offering to help out, but i know that an eg hatch has better traction properitie and can be just as light as the CRX, so good luck to you guys...keep us posted!!!

The goal is to be met under AMP class regulations witch Is at 1900lbs the car is already set up to run the field, lighter would make it easier but also wouldn't qualify for the record

I read somewhere on this forum that they said that 9.99 pass was done with a 40 shot of hidden nitrous.....thats what i read dont kill me for it lol

sorry to take spotlight from pelon. cant wait to see this big Beast come to life. we are working on a slightly big engine, but its tall dart block and I don't think the rules allow them still.
