Re: IMPORT FACE-OFF: Oklahoma City - 4/19/09
We would like to see more clear rules for the allmotor class. If gutted cut up cars that should be running in pro classes are going to be allowed we will have to stick to BOTI and the shoot out because those are the rules our cars and many others are built around. As we have ran IFO races over the last few years it's been hard to make a full class in allmotor at many races even with nothing but street cars. Almost all of the cars out there that run in the IFO allmotor class are street cars. If you start letting gutted cut up cars run in allmotor you will drive others away and the turn out will get worse. The turbo guys wanted more clear rules for good reason and now we need more clear rules for allmotor too. IFO does well because it goes after the grass roots racers not pro cars.

Car for this class I could run low 10's very easy. But that takes away from the gross roots racing That IFO is based around. Simple rules like shoot out Marc P |
Re: IMPORT FACE-OFF: Oklahoma City - 4/19/09
feel free to post rule suggestions.
They can't be enforced for this particular event, but can for future ones. I guess make a separate thread? |
Re: IMPORT FACE-OFF: Oklahoma City - 4/19/09
We built a car within the limits of the all motor rules for the IFO events we planned on attending, car runs great and does exactly what it suppossed to do, win. So now we will basically be banned for doing so? So when my back halfed 240 is done is that not allowed to run also? Everything is so surrounded around street cars that I think people forget some of us still build real racecars to run faster times and these are also cars that you will want at an event, events are for the racers and the crowds right? I guess we will need some pro classes cause sooner or later they will show up at the races, just my 2 cents. See everyone in Oklahoma.

Re: IMPORT FACE-OFF: Oklahoma City - 4/19/09
Yes, that's a good rule... If you win an event, you are banned for the next 3, lol.
