Yeah, they got 2 rounds of qualifying in. But I only saw about 30 minutes before the sky let loose. Brms, ricky, Wes, and Howard from rlz all went low 9s. There was the red boosted performance DSM laying down some sick mph too. The event def had a lot of potential.

Yeah I made 2 passes.

A little gun shy worried about the tcase on the first pass with the power turned down, car bogged badly and feel out of boost.

Next qualifing pass I figured we would put on a show and turned up the boost some. Still didn't leave very well and the car started missing at the top of third shifted to 4th and kept missing so I lifted completely.

Made me #1 qualifier for FIP and low ET for the event.

Got it back to the shop and it tossed the intake rockers again. Need to figure this out or I am dead in the water.

Just did that, I am wondering if its a lifter issue or valve travel issue now.

We use a little theory here at the shop, that you need however more in spring pressure as you have boost on the intake side. I havent done alot of honda heads but the pressures ive seen from cam manufacturers seem inadiquate. Are your lifters solid buckets or what, like i said, its been a while? since ive evn looked at any other manufacturers stuff.,Joe L.

Honda, no, car is a Eagle Talon. 2.0L 4g63 mitsu motor they are not bucket over shims they are plunger style.

Spring pressure on the intake, side I am having issues with is 120/285 shimed .040 before coil bind on behives.

I was there, it was sunny for a minute and I was really hoping the rain would move around us but it didn't.

A few fast passes were made before the bottom fell out. Howard went 9.4 @ 162 on his 2nd pass ever in the new car. I talked to him for a minute while picking up a part from him and obviously the times will improve on that car. I aimed on snapping some pics, but managed to get about 5 pictures that are not great.

I really liked that red DSM street car there that had the auto-tranny and street tires. It was a clean car, but sounded like the converter may have been acting up on it. Anyone know that guy?
