Honda drag racing in Australia
Thought i'd share some pics of a customer's project from Australia. Honda drag racing there isn't anything like it is over here, but Luki is trying to step the game up. He's been working on this project for a long time, like anyone else, and finally got it completed and to the track. He ran a 9.91 at 149 on his first outing in the car. His goal is to get the car into the 8's, which I think he'll accomplish pretty easily with the setup he has. I'll let him fill in any questions, but the basic setup is one of our race motors with the Web non vtec cams, a Haltech ecu and dash display, a Hypertune intake manifold, and an 'outlaw' style turbo kit. I forget exactly which turbo he's using, he went back and forth over a few options and I don't remember what he decided to go with. It's got our A/W intercooler setup on it as well. Anyways, on with the pictures, it's always cool to see how things are done in different parts of the world and this car is pretty unique in being a Del Sol, don't see them like this too often.
Gas Motorsport has done a lot of work and tuning on the car, they're one of the bigger Tuner shops in Australia. http://www.gasmotorsport.com.au/

Pretty nice looking. I haven't seen many del sols out dragging. The last one was Harry Sohn. Is he still racing that car?

i always loved the center console of the delsol, brings that shifter up right next to the wheel. the jet black is sick too makes it look very small and sleek the front doesnt even look big. very nice car. not to mention the sickest looking wheels weld makes.
