Fastest/Quickest DOT Tire Street Car Ladder (Forced Induction)

To make things a bit more interesting in the Honda Community, with the help of Myles Kerr (gringotegra), we’re a couple of DOT Tire Ladders. FWD Forced Induction, RWD Forced Induction and FWD/RWD All Motor. PM or Post your time slip and I’ll add you on the list. We’ll start at top 10 as the list keeps growing we’ll go to top 20 and so on, when the list gets large enough we will then place an ET break.

-Stock Chassis

Power Plant
-Anything Goes, as long as it’s still street legal

Drivetrain
-FWD/RWD* Only
-Stock, Aftermarket, Helical, and Straight Cut (Dog Gears) are allowed
-Aftermarket Axles are allowed
-FWD/RWD no AWD

Power Adders *Turbo, Nitrous, Supercharger*
-Anything Goes

Fue/Water Meth
-Anything Goes

Exhaust
-No restrictions on exhaust exit

Chassis and Suspension
-Full tube chassis prohibited. No center-drive systems. Wheelie bars are prohibited.

Tires
-Must Be DOT Approved (26.2” Max)

I went 10.40@146 MIR/Nopi 2008 1st round of Power Street. In the finals I went 151mph being the first over 150mph


I'm sure with todays technology 9.5's wouldn't be out of the question

100k stock engine, Drag kit, 10psi, pump gas, street car on a 235/60/15" M&H in an EG hatch. Done at a Pinks All Out event at Rockingham Dragstrip in NC.

how the hell are you guys getting the tires to hook!!! i couldnt manage better than a 13.1@115 one some nitto nt01s

1-2 spun 3-4 hooked...my short game was horrible....2.4 60fts, back when i had slicks i was cutting 1.8-1.9s and im not great at launching.....i guess with boost by gear it might be better, but damn

dont really understand the street legal part. in some states you can tag and insure anything. in others non of the cars on this list would be legal. Not something to worry about on a drag racing list imo.


but im curious to see what someone can do with all of todays technological advances on street tires.

Neither I or Myles could really come to an agreement on what to put there aside from that, since it differs state to state :-/

It's still a work in progress, I assume that it'll eventually shift to something more workable as the list grows and we find more common ground to settle on.

Definitely! That's the main reason for making this list, is to see how far we can go and do something a little different.

14.1 at 98mph on 205/50r15 Mickey Thompson drag radials. All stock d16z6 with a Precision 5454 turbo on 9psi.
Went 14.5 on 205/45r16 falken azenis rt 615. I forget the mph.

Can the radials be grouped with R comp? Bias ply tires are pretty much slicks.

I dont think Street legal shouldnt mean anything. For me its Tire honestly. Tire states all.

It's all DOT Approved, which is why we keep them, and for now, as the list is still growing, I blended the R Comp and Radial guys since some R Comp tire guys are quicker than the Radial guys.
