Cut up eg
I see people talking about cutting the car to get it light. what parts are you cutting/gutting? Assuming all glass is now lexan door panels/hatch/front end are fiberglass. Carpet and sound deadening are out, headliner is out. All panels are out. Are the cutting the holes in the chassis or body? id like to see some interior shots of eg being cut. TIA

Re: Cut up eg
You can cut the webbing out behind where the rear panels go and the webbing on the doors. i wouldnt mess with the firewall any. Replace the windows with lexan . Getting a tubular subframe and rear control arms will help a ton in weight reduction. Also you have options of light weight breaks .

This car has all of the webbing cut out of it and it's hole sawed by the doors.
Here's another one
You can run pretty fast with basic setups in cars like these.

Re: Cut up eg
tubular trailing arm setup will save at least as much weight as cutting up your car completely. the kstuned ones are 40-50lbs lighter than stock.

Makes sense to me if it's just a drag car.
It doesn't make sense to me if it's a street car or you're trying to race in a certain class that prevents cutting.
Might as well do both if it's a drag car.
