Re: custom wire harness?
id rather do my own wiring and spend my money somewhere else. a nice harness isnt on the top of the list as long as everything is working fine.

Re: custom wire harness?
their is nothing more i would rather do then call someone and just order a harness but some peoples thought on the word custom are not the same as as others to say the least...my car is a obd2a civic with obd1 95 prelude motor in it im running a aem sereis 2 ecu running coil on plug vtec killer cams so dont need any of the vtec ****,,wide band so dont need any factory o2 ****,,non of the egr stuff,,no iacv,,no iab,,,no evap,,,etc map sensor is different form factory and remote location ,,etc, etc so basically i have a total of about 40 wires in my whole harness...seems like most of the people that ive talked to just want to take your harness and put some shrink wrap on it ..i would feel better if i did it my self ,,

Re: custom wire harness?
funny one would only do a harness for the wire tuck "look". hell after digging deeper and finding out how much goes into what you DONT see under the covering is the crazy part. id be willing to bet most of these harnesses available, even though they "look" good, are still far from correct on the inside.

A harness should never be built 'in the car' to where it's not removable, so the car is not needed to build it, only some details for the drawing.

We do custom harnesses all the time without having the car here, our harnesses are built to drawings, which are drawn around your car/specs.

Re: custom wire harness?
If you saw some of the **** that Tony has drawn, you'd think that they just let anyone use high end graphics software like Microsoft Paint. With that said, he prefers bright colors and only freehand work. Don't bother using high tech methods of drawing straight lines either.

Re: custom wire harness?
I'll ***** a couple pics of my T1 harness.
Some key features.... Autosport connector at the firewall, setup for my Motec SDL dash, setup for my E888 expansion box, setup for a M&W Pro Drag 4, 8 injectors, T1 trigger, strain, gear position, G-force accelerometer, tons of additional sensors.... etc
The ignition harness was done by T1 as well and on it's own Autosport connector. I didn't want EMI to become an issue so that is why I seperated the system like that. On my last build it was an issue.
Do it right the first time or don't do it at all. I lost a motor due to a shitty wire job, well there were other reasons too....

Re: custom wire harness?
That would be a question for Tony, if you're asking me, Joe. I don't think Raychem/Tyco makes a 20+ breakout. It does look like it's sealed up with glue though.... looks like the same glue used for sealing up the rest of the heatshrink.

Re: custom wire harness?
You could put obd1 connectors on one of our harnesses but you'd have a bunch of wires left over with nowhere to go. We run a lot of sensors on our Motec setups.
