CLUTCH LINE
HI GUYS I RECENTLY ORDERED A CLUTCH LINE AND IT CAME IN -4 TEFLON
MY PROBLEM IM HAVING IS WHEN I BLEED THE CLUTCH IT DOESNT ENGAGE I HAVE BEEN TRYING IT FOR ABOUT 3 HOURS, I PUT NEW SLAVE CYLINDER NEW LINE AND FITTINGS BUT THE MASTER CYLINDER IS ORIGINAL 92' OEM
DO YOU THINK THE LINE IS TOO BIG BEING A -4 OR HAS THE MASTER CYLINDER GONE OUT?
MI GUESSING IF SOMEBODY ELSE USES -4 CLUTCH LINE THEN ITS NOT THAT AND HAS TO BE MY MASTER

Re: CLUTCH LINE
make sure that ur slave cylinder is not leaking fluid throught the bleeder part. Just take some teflon tape and place put it on the bleed screw just to be sure its good
also did you bench bleed the master before you started everything else?

Re: CLUTCH LINE
The chase bays kit uses a -3AN line. It is also normal for the clutch pedal to stick to the floor when bleeding. Everytime you push it down you will have to reach down and lift it back up with your hand. This is kind of PITA but it's just part of it. Every clutch system I have ever bled the pedal sticks to the floor. Try letting it gravity bleed for a a bit then go back to regular bleeding.
Have you actually closed the bleeder and felt the pedal yet? or are you assuming since the pedal goes to the floor with the bleeder open that there must be something wrong?

Re: CLUTCH LINE
With these aftermarket slaves we have always had to take the line off at the slave, cover the whole with our finger and pump the pedal to get it to prime, reattach the line and continue bleeding.

Re: CLUTCH LINE
Use -3. iI had this same problem after getting a clutch line kit from king that was -4. I sent it back, got a refund and had one made for me at carquest in -3. Worked flawlessly after that.

you should have no problem with a -4. pressure is pressure. and i dont think .025 larger hose is gonna kill u.
prime both master and slave if there new. then do a normal bleed procedure, should work fine.

Re: CLUTCH LINE
I had the same problem but with a brand new master, new slave, and new clutch line... No matter what I did, I just couldnt seem to get it to feel right... Used a vacuum pump bleeder, and now it feels great...
