bogging off the line
I ran my pb today of 13.99 at 99.3 on a 2.0 60'. My issue is I just got 22x8 mh slicks I'm leaving the line at 6800 and its still bogging pretty bad. I would like some input as to get my bog takin care of and my 60 down. Is my 7.5 lb fidanza hurting me? The tires were also at 16psi.

Re: bogging off the line
Are You revving up or u have 2 step only or 2 step with anti lag

Re: bogging off the line
I am using a 2 step module on my 6al box

Re: bogging off the line
May sound like dumb question, but are you full throttle on your launch control? Also some more info on your setup would help.
|
Re: bogging off the line
yeah more info of your setup would help, but I'm gonna assume its the eg thats in your sig. if your bogging you need to come off the line at a higher rpm. also for slicks, that psi is pretty high I'd drop it down to at least 12. make sure your preloading too so you down snap an axle or worse

Re: bogging off the line
Ya its the eg. 2375 lbs. 81.5 gsr bottom b16 head BC spec 4 cams and valve train fidanza 7.5 flywheel 6puck clutch gsr trans rmf narrow p30 intake 3" cai in the bumper 3" aluminum exhaust. As for suspension it has tien h-tech coilovers. I am holding it full throttle on the 2step and I do preload it. I know 16psi sounds like a lot for those tires but they were already bogging me down and if I dropped the pressure they were going to hook even harder.

Re: bogging off the line
I would suggest bumping up the RPM's a few hundred at a time until you find the "sweet spot". Good luck.

Re: bogging off the line
I'll have to order another module before I go back to the track. 6800 is the highest my selectable module goes. I thought 68 would b high enough but I guess not. Are you guys thinking the flywheel is fine then?

Re: bogging off the line
A lightened flywheel is obviously less rotating mass, and therefore will be easier to slow down. However, lots of people use them without problems. Just need to find what works for you!
Have you looked into Neptune/Hondata so you can change settings on the fly? |
Re: bogging off the line
I have looked into neptune/demon board, but at this time I don't know much about tunning and the modules are cheaper. Lol

Re: bogging off the line
Your sig says "ProFunction Tuned", what did they tune it on?

Re: bogging off the line
It has a ectune chip

If ectune is anything like chrome, hondata, neptune, then you should be able to program a 2-step through the ecu.

ECTune uses the same Demon board as Neptune for end users. But it sounds like he is on a chip version.

Re: bogging off the line
I don't have anything that will modify my tune, this is why I have a 6al box with 2step, it is easier since Profunction is almost 5 hours away. Its not that big of a deal to order a module. It will be a little while before I go back to the track.
