Re: Another RWD K civic
Josh, why not look into the ford 8.8 rear end? They are practically in every damn live axle ford ever built including explores/t birds/mustangs/mustang 2's/and so on. They come pretty cheap and will be more than strong enough to hold any power any 4 cyl can ever hope to throw at it, and much lighter than the 9" or the GM 12 bolt. Just my $.02, might make your build a bit easier and cheaper as I'm sure you can find parts for one on just about every damn mustang site around. Looks like its coming along nicely though! Is Cecil doing the chassis work? He does some top notch **** work for sure! Looks like his alchy nova is in the backround of one of your pics.

Mick,
I'm getting the 12 bolt for $500 with a spool and gears, Cecil is hooking me up getting the axels recut when its narrowed. I thought the rear out of the cougar was a 8.8, but it ended up being a 7.5. Either way, its coming down to what we have on hand to work with. I can always part the 12 out for what I spend on it, or close to it.
That is Cecil's Nova, he does great work. He's just not the quickest at getting it done.

Just wanted to say, Brent at PFI is the man. He gave me a helluva hookup on needed parts. Pics of said parts next update. If it were not for friends like him, this build would not be happening. Support those who support you!!!!!!!!!

Hickam, the castor is determined by the lower and upper control arms. If you take a string to the spindles between the ball joints you'll find the string hits the center of the spindle. So flipping them side to side won't be an issue.
Farmyard, My chassis builder Cecil of CA Race cars is a very good welder. He does amazing work, and has lots of little tricks to his trade. I however will not pretend to know any of them.
