Another RWD K civic
While I say another, it won't be the same as El Freddy or the others. This is being built to the rules of a local domestic heads up class. I'm limited to ladder bars, and some other suspension rules. My other limitation is money, so we're grafting other cars into the civic in a way.
We start with my EK coupe, owned this car since 99.
Started it off with a D16y7 and a home made turbo kit.
Now,
Chassis is still very much a work in progress. Hoping to get this car on the track for the first time at the Vegas IFO in May.
And here are the various adapter parts for the K24 to Powerglide.
The adapter plate came from Honda Ghandi (Tobi) a few years ago, not sure who he had make it. The flexplate was courtesy of Brent from PFI (btspeed.com), it came off Kyles K24 rail car. Used to be the prologger rail.
My rear wheels, which will have my brand new M&H 28x9 slicks (thanks John).
Front end that is going on the car is off a 87 Tbird. Putting this suspension on allows for some great upgrades down the road. But its not an easy swap either.
The rear end was going to be a 9", But due to costs, I think I'll be putting a 12 bolt in instead as one is available, cheap, and complete. It will just have to be narrowed.
Engine will be a K24, and will be a stock motor for the time being until my finances allow for a sleeved/built engine. With that said Morgan (PFC) is pushing over 500h from his, so I'll look to do the same. Stay tooooooned
Working on getting the rest of my parts from my D16 Hatch sold. This is truely the only roadblock in getting the coupe done.
edit: here is a link to the photo album, as the links were corupted

Thanks Brother, I texted you the other day. Need wiring stuff, engine harness and E plug. Also, I think I'm gonna snag those coilovers from you after all.

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: Another RWD K civic
Good choice with the Power Glide: takes the least horsepower to turn (out of GM autos) and is great for lighter cars and smaller tires. Also has unlimited aftermarket support. Good luck with the build.

Figured some of you might like a peek at our class rules. http://uspracin.ipower.com//limited_rules.html
The only thing changed is there is no lottery ladder, it is back to a pro ladder fastest vs slowest 1 v 16, 2 v 15, 3 v 14 ect.
