Re: Another 2015 SFWD build thread. Yawn.
Went by the body shop today to see how the progress is coming. They have gotten the body completely straightened out and finished smoothing out what I shaved in the engine bay. Should hopefully be in primer by next week sometime and then lay the color down. I can't wait to get it back and start putting parts back on it!
Also, my new Strange Coilovers showed up today!

Awesome build! Cant wait to see what this car can do when you get it back out! I dont know if you remember me but I came and got my car tuned by Tony right as you guys were moving away from the Honda stuff, so i feel very lucky I got in there to get an awesome tune when I did. I have a couple questions if you dont mind answering?
At the time you were making 840 I see you were running E85, were you using something like ignite E85. Or were you blending E98 with race gas of some sort to make your own E85?
Also I see you said you were running Weldon 2345 fuel pump, ID2000s. Were you running 4 ID2000s or 8?

Damn, that's pretty good #'s! My set up is pretty similar and made just under 700hp. I am on dual 044 pumps and e98. Wonder if switching over to big Weldon pump would help or big Weldon pump + e85. I was really wanting to see 850ish range.

I noticed that you are using the ERL 5 point main girdle and I was looking In to getting one for myself. I know it says to tq to 60ft/lbs. I'd like to know what ft/lb sequence and order your using for it. Good luck on the build

Nice this car is being built right bare frame painted inside and out and all quality parts. I was getting scared a lot of SFWD builds never getting finished, but you waited to to post until you had your ducks in a row... Good luck!

Re: Another 2015 SFWD build thread. Yawn.
So sorry for the long break in the updates guys. With TX2K15 finally past, I can begin to resume normal life lol. Things have been non stop here at the shop for the last 3 weeks.
There are some updates though! Got my Front and Rear wheels ordered and Ill post pictures as soon as they arrive. Also now that TX2K is over Joel at Racespec should be starting on my harness sometime shortly. He did the harness in Tony's GT-R and words fall short in describing what a piece of art that harness is. He is truly a master of his craft.
Reid at KaizenSpeed got me hooked up with a small front brake kit. Cant thank him enough for getting that to me as quickly as he did.
Also stopped by the body shop to check on the progress of the car since I haven't had the time in the last few weeks.
All the body work and smoothing of the engine bay is completed. The body surfaces and door jambs have been done with a special primer/sealer that will enable me to wrap the car without it needing it to be painted. But will also be sufficient enough for the wrap to stick to for a very long time without worry of peeling or bubbling. All thats left now is for him to paint the underside, engine bay and interior. Then it will be time for the wrap to go on. So far things are on schedule and theres nothing holding me, hopefully it stays that way

Re: Another 2015 SFWD build thread. Yawn.
I had been holding out for months on a 3 Piece front because right around the new year I had contacted Franks Custom Fiberglass to see if they had something in the works. Luckily, they did! but said it would be around March/April before he would release pictures. After waiting and keeping contact to make sure the project didn't get scrapped, he finally released pictures this week. I Immediately called and ordered mine. Can't wait to get it on the car!
