just read the RULES for PRO-AM ALLMOTOR and they might want to look at them again.under "TIRES" it says- FWD and RWD slicks limited to 22.5 inches in height and 8.0 inches in width. and under "minimum competition weight" they dont have a listing for Hseries guys.

Quickly looking at this I see rules are based off IFO rules.

Why make min weights so low, if your actually going to scale cars why not make them the same weights as MIR or OGS?

Also why isn't FTW on the approved fuel list?

Also. I do not understand the deal about the event in Ohio. Is it the DSM shootout and these classes or just the DSM shootout?

Guys regarding vehicle weight.....Can you input turbo size and how much your car weighs right now if you dont know give a rough estimate please... Tryna get the rules for weight changed because if the normal car weighs for example: 2370lbs. How in the hell are people gonna all of a sudden add 80lbs of weight to there car to make 2450lbs..... So if anyone would do that i think that would help.

Thanks

The first revision of the 2014 IDRC rules is currently underway. The new rules should be available tomorrow 3/25/2014. We are also improving the viewer on the website so that you'll be able to properly scroll through the rules on a tablet or iPhone.

To answer some of the specific questions:

PRO-AM ALL MOTOR: Slick size will be changed to allow tires up to 25 inch in height. The H-series weight break will also be stated.

OHIO EVENT: This will be running the DSM/EVO/GT-R Class rules not the standard IDRC classes as this event is exclusive to those makes.

Vortech Nitrous Question: Please send us a complete rundown on your vehicle by email along with weight, best time, power, etc.. and we'll try to help you choose the best class.

Turbo-Size/Weight Classifications: There will be very slight changes made to establish the exact measuring method and parameters. Not all "72mm" turbochargers will have the same weight as they can differ in actual size by nearly 1mm.

That decision on the Ohio event is rediculous. Let's make an event that ony 1/4 of the people will show up at when we've already rented the track for the weekend and could accommodate hundreds, thousands more people and make so much more money. Makes no sense I think it's just Dave buschur having his hand in it too much making bad choices

yeah its pretty ignorant to not cater to the other racers as well, considering its the only event not on the west coast.

I respect the DSM shootout as it's been an old tradition and has been THE EVENT for the mitsu guys. At the same time we barely have any events here in the Midwest and to make the one IDRC that we have here be strictly just the DSM shootout blows nuts. There is potential for the IDRC to grow out of the west coast if it was an open event.

OHIO EVENT: This will be the 22nd year for the DSM/EVO/GT-R Shootout. Each and every year, this event has grown larger than the last. As for opening up the event to other makes and models, it will probably never happen. Sorry.

Fortunately, the IDRC will be speaking directly with Norwalk Raceway about adding a standalone IDRC event in 2015 with all of the applicable IDRC classes. In order for this to happen, we would need to get a larger turnout for the event than we have in past years to make it viable. A minimum turnout of 200 racecars is needed for a single day event at that venue. If you live in that area and would be interested in having an IDRC event produced, please send us an email or drop us a line. We look forward to hearing from you.

Didn't they open the DSM shootout up to other makes and models by allowing GTR's to run? 200 race cars minimum, good luck with that. Car counts in/around Ohio are down terribly.

200 racecars, that's tough. I'm not even sure if IFO covers that. I would be willing to help sponsor a class if itwere to help the event in any way. I'm sure some of the other local shops around here in Chicago would be willing to chip in for some classes as well.

If that doesn't work out I saw a NOPIMAN costume at the thrift store. It was 99 cents. I'm gonna pop some tags.
