Default 12.95 @ 106 / H2b coupe

Finally got the car together last week, atco had a final T&T session yesterday. Just figured I would give everyone something to read while they are waiting for rules to come out

Car is a 95 dx coupe - rear panels and seats removed.
Jdm h22a stock block and head
Skunk2 mani, 72mm TB, Ericks header, 3 inch exhaust and a 3 inch short ram w/velocity stack - No dyno time yet but street tuned with ECtune.
Evo h2b kit
CTR trans w/ 4.7 final
Ground controls w/ kybs

Runs were done on m&h 205/60/13 drag radials

Let me know what everyone thinks- Keep in mind this is my first time launching a fwd car since 01

1st - 13.4 @ 105.36 - 2.1 60ft
2nd- 13.2 @ 106.48 - 2.06 60ft
3rd- 12.957 @ 106.18 - 1.906 60ft
4th - 13.145 @ 105.78 - 2.00 60ft
5th - 12.99 @ 106.59 - 2.02 60ft

Have to shift into 5th right before the end - so need to put taller tire on to see what happens before next season.

Didnt want to push it any harder being that it was only together for a week. Unfortunately the zero speed limiter was set to 4k so it severely limited my ability to do a burnout. Just pulled through the burnout box basically. I also realized my collector was basically crushed - Damn lip on my driveway.
I am confident that I can probably get .75s out of it the way it sits when correcting those 2 things. Not bad for a basically stock swap i think

Sorry its not a 9 second run like all these sfwd guys but at least its a little more racing to hold you guys over

LOL Whats so bad with shifting into 5th.

I on AVS ES 100s 195/50/15s was deep into 5th before crossing the line with my K20R swap making 220whp and 156tq. I was running 12.70@111.

Good trap speed. With more practice you could probably hit better times.

Work on those 60fts though.

Edit: Your essentially have the same gearing as me. As k20R motor is about the same 1-5, and i too have a 4.7FD.

haha just not used to having to do it hopefully the slicks will take care of it

With a little more practice and actually being able to heat the tires up with a decent burnout - it was 30 degrees here yesterday, i think i can get them down to a respectable level

You've got .60s in that car on a 22" slick. Slap a good head, cam, and intake setup and your next post will be about 11s with a stock block. Congrats.

Nice times on that simple setup.

These are the kinds of ets people with h2b's should expect with a stock h22 and bolt-ons.

8k

Dont really see the need to push it any farther. with the stock head and cams.

I knew the 12.95 pass was fast because i was actually in 5th for a little while.

I would have at least needed 9k on that run if i stayed in 4th. And there is no way i am doing that with the stock head

yeah those DR's are a little too small.

8500 should net a 110mph trap but anything over 8400 your asking for trouble on a stock head.

i rather shift into 5th and save the motor on a bigger tire on the same power you'd be fine in 4th

The radials are all i had laying around , figured they were better then street tires.
Winter plans include getting the head done with a nice set of cams. Then i will mess around with rev limiter and see what i can drag her out to next year

Using 23s next year , at least to start, and go from there.

The way the car is moving now , with a little more weight out of it and the aforementioned work done i would say screw 12s, i am going right into 11s lol
