Squeaky clean 😃

Hey guys, I'm new to this site & doing my first ever build. I have a y8 head and getting a z6 block, I'm planning on rebuilding both and Trans before I even buy myself a shell, My first thing is to clean it, any recommendations on what to use to clean the motor? Inside and out? I'd like it squeeky clean before I drop all my money into new parts. Yeah my boyfriend is gonna help me out with what I don't know, but I'd still like everyone's opinion and we'll take it from there. I'd also like advice on what kind of Trans, studs, and basically anything to give me ideas to make my build work. Hoping to get it to Honda day 2017 lmao. Thanks in advance!

Simple green. Either a big metal bucket on a bbq grill filled with water and simple green, with a thermometer keeping it around 200 degree. or a power washer. You'll also need to sand the outside with a wire wheel and some brushes.

Scotch bright pads are great. Work as a simple sander, and remove all the gunk too !

See if you can source a Vapor Blast operator in your area, many car/bike builders are using this route to restore major components to like new condition.
