Default how to remove burnt oil from rear of car?

Hey guys,

I tried looking but couldn't find anything useful, I just had a complete rebuild done on my b18c5, it was burning oil terribly.

I know nothing about detailing/polishing unfortunately. What would he the best way to get the burnt oil off of the rear of my car? The car is white so it looks especially bad. Now that the motor is rebuilt I want to fix this problem. Thanks in advance!

A good All purpose cleaner should do it.

If that doesn't get it, try clay barring it.

I had the same problem on a white car. I tried different soaps even some kind of jell that is supposed to take every thing off a cars paint. None of it worked. Then one day at a DIY car wash I used the pre soak soap, and I could just see the old exhaust melting off my car.

I don't have any pics showing how bad it was, I avoided taking pics of the rear because of that exact problem, but it was really really bad. My itr was burning oil like crazy, even during normal driving. I had a support our troops magnet on the back and if I ever took it off you could see the outline of it because the area behind the magnet was still clean lol.

But i tried using a Mr. Clean magic eraser today which I know is not ideal fit paint but my paint is 15 years old and banged up, the car is in need of a paint job badly so I wasn't too worried about using it. If the car was just painted I wouldn't use it but this is a different situation.

Well the magic eraser worked wonders and I was super surprised how easy it came off, I've tried scrubbing it a million times at the car wash and nothing worked, but the magic eraser cut right through it like nothing.

I bet a good polish/wax would do wonders for that paint.

I took a shitty looking 99 civic and made it look damn near new the other day.
