i do this on a daily working with my bro and we do that for dealerships and ours come out just as good, but we wetsand with a water and degreaser mix(helps out alot compared to just water) with 600, than 1500 and use some 1500grit polish w/ the buffer(takes out 1500 scratches) then hit it with finishing polish...just another way to do it

doing this really work i did it before but i had to re seal with a better protectant for mine since GA has some heat that bakes your headlights... a clearcoat halps in some cases

Great to see some more good outcomes. Nufinish is not great at all, but at the time, I did not know much about detailing and it seemed fine, so I tryed it. There are better waxes out there guys. And I haven't tried clear coat, but I've seen some examples and they look great!

nice job!!
Looks like a night a day difference with the headlights.
I have the same harbor freight polisher and that thing works pretty
good plus it dirt cheap.

Thanks guys!
Yah, the Harbor Freight polisher is nothing special, but if all you're going to do is headlights, its not bad. I'm starting to do full paint correction on cars now so I'm going to be upgrading very soon to a Makita 9227c.

Whatever floats your boat man, but I guarantee you that kit would not work for these headlights. They might work for some that aren't too bad, but once your headlights start getting semi-deep cracks and heavy oxidation, this is pretty much the only way to go. Results speak for themselves.
