Brilliantly Detailed- Nissan 350z
i did a 350z a few days ago, i didnt charge him like a regular client since hes a friend of a friend, car was pretty clean to begin with, just needed a little love. It had a few scratches all over the body, the front bumper has to be repainted because of all the rock chips.
his main concern was getting out random scratches that were in some spots, and also smoothing out the headlights. the lights were crystal clear, but were lightly pitted because of rocks flying into them. nothing a little wet sanding couldnt fix
process:
wash with chenille mitt and 2 bucket method with grit guards (helps prevent swirl marks)
clean tires and rims
clay bar paint
dress exterior trim and rubber
one-step polish/seal with a polishing pad on DA polisher
clean glass
treat convertible top with 303 Fabric Protectant
wipe down car with quick detailer
headlights were wet sanded with different grades of sandpaper, then compounded, polished, and sealed.
i wish the car was a darker color so it would really look like a mirror, but its nice nonetheless
here are some pics of how it turned out:
scratch:
scratch gone:
when I dropped the car back to the guy i parked it in front of a dry cleaners, the owner came out and said: "Move it! its too shiny its blinding me!"
haha
PM me if you have any questions about detailing/getting out a stain/polishing etc, i try to be a book of answers
