Amazing work, I always look forward to your threads, I have learned so much from reading them. A few questions though,
1. how did you remove and reapply the emblem on the back? 2. how did you paint the vents on the tailgate? |

Great restorative detail, corrected all original paint is so much better than new paint in my opinion...

Great turn around! Original single stage paint you were working with right? How did the interior look on that car?

Re: 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Gets restored by Tru Shine Detailing of Knoxville TN
So, the 'key' to a premium shine is in the polishing of the paint to correct the imperfections.
Consumer Report found none of the 19 wax products tested were good enough to be Rated excellent, with most showing signs of deterioration within a few weeks. They also noted: Thanks to today's clear-coat finishes, our testing shows that even the best wax will probably not improve the shine on a new car. Regular washing is still the most important step to protecting your car's finish. But a coat of wax can add a layer of protection against tree sap, bird droppings, and other contaminants--at least for a while. http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/c...ying-guide.htm So, I guess I won't be spending $80.00 on an 8 oz jar of Zymol car wax. |

i hate to ask and you, and you can answer in PM if you want, but how much would I be looking to spend to do the same treatment, albeit my 20 year old honda.
I'd rather save the paint than repaint. |
