The only motor that drops in to an '87 "fairly easily" is a brown top ('86-'87) D16 DOHC from a 1G Integra. The ZC is more of a drop in for the 88-91 rex

There were a lot of "ZC" engines, SOHC, DOHC, injected and carb'ed.

What you want is the engine based upon the DOHC D16A series of engines and the tranny that goes with it. This IS NOT the USDM Integra engine, but a higher compression/higher HP version of that engine. Look for the "ZC" stamped into the block.

You will also need the ECU that goes with this engine. If your CRX is fuel injected AND the ZC engine is the vacuum advance model, then it is a direct bolt in. If it is the later electronic advance motor it can be used but you will need to make some wiring changes.

If you CRX is carbed it will work, but you will need the donor car's wiring harness.

Bottom line: You can buy a wrecked Integra and have the whole car for parts for the price of this drive line being offered to you.
