thermostat housing question
Hello, I'm new here so please bare with me. I'm wondering what sensor/fitting or whatever it's called is right next to the thermostat on my 1986 accord lxi. It's threaded into the housing right after the thermostat and it has 2 black tubes coming from it about three or four inches long that go into other tubes that run accross the top of the motor. I know that's vague but it's not the coolant temp sensor cause I bought that and replaced that, and I don't think it's the temp guage sending switch. Just to try to be more clear here's the order from the passenger side when I look at it:
-The thermostat cover/inlet
-thermostat itself
-then this thing that had blue corrosion where it comes out of the housing and I broke the top off where those 2 black hoses go into it
-then the air bleeding valve
-then the temp sending gauge?
-then the coolant temp sensor.
Any thoughts would be really appreciated, I think I'm gonna have to go to honda to get it anyway but I need to know what it's called. Thank you.

Re: thermostat housing question
You might not need it.
Mine broke off also....I have an 89 Accord LX
Years ago I cleaned off all those fittings as a way of cleaning up my engine.
Replaced 'em with brass plugs.
Less stuff is less stuff to break. It's getting tougher to get parts from the dealer for older cars. I'm going to look at my engine tomorrow and see what is still on there.
