sticky clutch on 85
My 1985 Accord hatch has a clutch that stays at the floor when you put the pedal to the floor. teh problem is either the release are or the return are. This is my first problem like this and when it look for replacements i get two different parts. If i replace one should i replace the other?

actually this could be bad news...
generally pressure plates are rediculously strong and the only thing that can hold them from pushing back is a worn nose on the tranny. it wears a groove in it and the release bearing binds up.
unless there is something wrong with the pedal assembly, which i doubt.
i'm also assuming you mean that if you don't quite push the pedal all the way down it works fine?

Re: sticky clutch on 85 (night)
Yeah just enough to get in gear. But to "fix" the probalem i push down on the return/ release arm and i go to go. But what your saying is that im looking at a clutch or try and rebuild the tranny? And if its a new tranny would it be worth it to just save up and swap?

no, you need to find a pic of the bellhousing of a honda tranny.
the mainshaft coming out has a tube that extends out with it about half the distance. the release bearing rides on this, which is the aluminum of the lower housing.
