Since you have a first generation CRX you should come on over to http://www.redpepperracing.com If you think this site is great for your 1987 CRX you will think you have died and gone to heaven when you discover what it is to be a redpepper.

The stock seats are actually a pretty good design, but after 20+ year they tend to be "tired." A good upholstery shop in your home town can rebuild the orginal frames and recover them in any kind of fabric or leather if you like.
The trouble with the 1st Gen CRX is that headroom is tight, specially if you have an Si with the sunroof. Adding seats that were not meant for the car can compromise that tight headroom even worse.
And yes, RPR is the place to get 1st Gen CRX info.

You didn't mention what color your car is inside/what color seats you're looking for. I have a brand new pair of gray factory seats, but my car has blue interior, so I can't decide whether to install the gray seats or sell them & try to find something in blue...

Re: (icebox187)
It is black, but I did find some 87 honda prelude seats and it fits perfectly.
Just an fyi. And they are more comfortable than the crx seat. You can use 84-87
Prelude seats.
