RHD S600 - not used for 4 years
Have owned this one for a long time, but it hasn't been used in 4 years, it was tucked away under my house largely forgotten.
It has a Datsun A15 motor and 4 speed fitted, along with a S800 style 4 link rear suspension and live axle.
At one point my old fiancé used to drive it around (hence the ronal bear wheels)
these will be replaced with the watanabe style wheels (already bolted on the back).
As it's been sitting, the paint has gone very dull, the fuel will be very stale, and the battery is dead.
The plan is to give it a wash and buff,
change the fuel, oil and cooling fluid
put in a fresh battery, and take it for a drive

meguiars product to bring paint back to shine
rear quarter panel before buff
rear quarter panel starting to shine (at least the light has a reflection now)

Thursday will be new fuel, oil and battery day.

More pics! Pity about the Datsun engine, but better on the road than not... Get yourself a hardtop, and drive like crazy! Neko.

good news - paint is polished, bumpers polished - came up quite nice
bad news - checked brake master cylinder and it's empty, will check rear wheel cylinder for leaks, front calipers for leaks and then put a new seal kit through the master cylinder

S800 engine and gearbox for sale on the UK S800 owners club forum. wouldn't be that difficult to get an axle as well i should think.

hows the S600 going?
does it have S800 brakes? iv'e managed to mock up Renault 5 Turbo discs and a modern Wilwood caliper to fit under the 13 inch wheels
not yet finalised but i can't see any issues.
great thing is these Wilwoods are very cheap and the discs are very easy to get hold of. disc will need a tiny amount of machining and i have a drawing of a caliper mount i can pm you if you want to go in this direction?

If there's anything my S800 needs, it is some decent brakes. Chasing faster cars through some touge works really well until I start to get some serious & rapid fade. The original RSC racing disks are expensive, hard to find in reasonable condition, and most importantly nowhere near as effective as I would guess your combo is.
Interested in your fluid volume calculations as well, any idea if master cylinder stroke & diameter are sufficient to support the four piston Wilwoods? Neko.

Re: Brake mod setup
Hi Bozwell,
Keen to understand more on the brake setup, one thing we find with the 800's is they run out of brakes by the bottom of the range (128 corners) and would like to investigate updating our too.
Cheers...IAN
