I actually own a Honda S600 and a Triumph GT6. The S600 motor is very compact. The Triumph motor would be sticking up through the bonnet and into the cabin. The S600 motor is on a 45 degree slant while the GT6 motor sits upright. The firewall in the triumph was cut back to accept the 6 cylinder motor as it is based on the 4 cylinder spitfire. The S600 is significantly shorter in length although exactly the same height (in coupe form). So no chance

first post made me chuckle

it's a squeeze but it fits. the transmission tunnel on these cars are huge. the gearbox is modified to use the original gearlever hole. the original steering rack is used and in the original position.

and this is what it'll look like with the bonnet shut

i sold the original engine to keep another S800 on the road. a lot more S800's are being found in garages etc. there is a chap making fibreglass panels for the S800 on the British S800 forum as panels are near impossible to get hold of.

also my S800 was not as good as it looked in the pictures. it should look great when finished and not look like a hot rod.

link if your really interested

new fibreglass panels being made

It is easy to admire the work done on these cars, however, I just do not see the point, sorry.

Mazda Rotary motors fit in quite nicely, but you'll need to run a top mount starter (like the early r100's. rx2's etc). All fits under the bonnet

G'Day Aussie AS285... be interested if you have any history on the Corolla engined S800, we have just bought one in Cairns with this conversion !

Cheers... IAN
