Re: my 1980 Civic Turbo GSR swap... now with paint!
sorry for the delay in update
My buddy has my external hdd so I can't get pics to the internet atm.
Been doing TONS of boring, but necessary, stuff.
The fuel pump wiring is in. Hard/soft fuel lines are run (permanent and temporary). Fuel filter selected. (Nissan fuel injected fuel filter. Fram G4777 if I recall correctly is 5/16 in/out, uses clamp-on fittings and is relatively compact.)
Finished Hydraulic clutch conversion + line run and bled.
New brake master cyl. installed (old one leaked out the rear seal), brakes bled.
The SS brake lines tried to F* me and didn't want to seal in a couple places. Took me 3 HOURS to bleed the brakes by myself.
Custom radiator hoses fitted and system filled.
Full interior re-installed.
Full dynamat + high density closed cell foam padding installed throughout the majority of the car.
PGM-FI wiring completed with custom bulkhead connectors.
Temporary exhaust fabricated.
etc., etc.
I promise pics soon.
Car running very soon!

Late to the party but this is exactly what I was looking for. My all time fav car was a 1980 Civic named Inga. She was a blue/blue (though I had always wanted to paint her a soft white. W/the blue interior I thought that would look nice) 5-speed and I ran her for 187k miles before she rusted out beneath my feet. That was a sad, sad day for me.
Nice work, but all I can say is... better you than me.

My daily driver is an '80 hatch just like yours but rocking old school mods on an '82 Canadian Accord 1300. Cant wait to see yours done, cause if anything happens to my 1300 "The OG" is getting a swap.
