Cheers...brake pistons cleaned up, new seals fitted. Brake shoes sent away and rebonded. Rear chain case ready for install, rear shocks, brakes, diff, chain cases etc etc installed. Hand brake cables still to be tidied up yet, will replace protecter tubing and install new rubber dust seals.

Thank you...Haven't seen too many with the twin chain set ups.
Most new parts needed will come from Ortmanns.
I too like the cad plating, but not sure on the air cleaner and spark plug cover. Both of my items had been gold cad plated
in the past, but not sure if they came from factory like that!
Some more work done...front end, brakes etc now installed. Wheels have been sent away, blasted and powder coated. New tyres have arrived from Melbourne and will be fitted shortly....

It's now been one full year...almost, since I returned from Melbourne with my S600 coupe project. She is now on her wheels, and is starting to look like a car again...happy days!

Cheers guys...car will be put back on it's stands for now, off it's tyres, while I chip away at the long list of things still to do! Neko, have you covered in your front bumper mounting holes in the body work?...or am I missing something!

Good question as noticed that myself when I took them off. The irons have a gooseneck in them and they dip below the front valance. Others I see have the holes, perhaps with straight irons? It might be a Mk 2 difference? Neko

Ok, that explains it...and makes the most sense. Most I had seen didn't have there bumpers on and were racing cars, had thought the holes were welded in. Cheers Neko.

Cheers Bozwell...had heard the 600 is quite rare in the UK, wonder how many coupes you guys actually ended up with? I am still yet to see or hear one on Australian roads!

Not that I've seen every car in Aus, but I never saw a Coupe when I was living there. Just Roadster... Neko

I have been told there is a coupe not too far from where I live, but have not come across it. Part of me would love to catch up with the owner, talk shop etc...then again, wouldn't mind if my own car is the first one I ever hear in the flesh!
