Cheap wiper arm fix
So I just bought my first Honda. When I bought it, it had the issue of the wiper linkage socket falling off. Thus leaving the operator with no wipers. Well I live in Washington and it rains. I drove the car today and the Rain X did a fair job.
So after calling around today at wrecking yards and craigslist, I fell short trying to find a replacement arm. Seems these are common to break. So I came up with a simple solution. Cut the arm back 1/4" and welded a hoseclamp to the end. Tighten the hoseclamp down on the ball and life is good. Did a few trial runs...seems to be holding very well. Time will tell but much better than no wipers at all.
