Best CRX Springs 84-87
What are the Best Possible 1st Gen CRX Springs for;
a ... great handling & extra performance - unloaded (no luggage)
b ... for not bottoming out when loaded down with lots of extra weight (lotsa luggage)

Medieval Pro amkes full coil overs for a gen 1.
or you can cut teg springs. they have a higher spring rate than your crx's

The best site for the old CRX is http://www.redpepperracing.com. Lots of cool people and good information.
For ride comfort... leave the stock springs.
For hauling any kind of weight... get another car.
For performance... install a rear sway bar from Addco.
http://www.heeltoeauto.com is a great source for 1st Gen CRX parts. Also check out Ground Control for their coil overs.

ground control aren't too bad, but aren't worth the money if you don't plan on racing the car. Tokico springs ride really nice and you can still put some stuff in the back.
mind you, your biggest ride complaint will come from the front, as these cars are horrible without shortened front shocks and thicker torsien bars.
