Any 2nd gen owners out there?
Are there any 2nd gen prelude owners out there? I own a 1986 Honda Prelude Si with a swapped B16a motor. It runs awesome. I have autoCrossed it for the last 3yrs. Great car and is my second '86 Prelude!

i am currently a preludepower member (kyryeguy) and have been for nearly 4yrs! I love the 2gen prelude/ 3rd gen accords! I am also a member of 3geez.com (hondalude86). I bought this car from a PreludePower member in May of 2004 (DriverGT5). Awesome car as stupid light, needs a Diff though, but hey, autoX car none the less!

my very first car was a 1987 Accord DX hatch, i used to take that car off road all the time. Poor car had a rough 6weeks with me. Then i totalled it. Poor car. In response to the ex 84 Prelude owner. The 2gen prelude isnt that big if a pos! If you got 30hp and shaved off 200lbs you would have the same power to wieght ratio of a 5th gen prelude. How do yuo get 30hp on an old carbed prelude? Easy, Get DCOE 45 side draft carbs, cam regrind, full exhaust and header, and ta da 30hp easy. Then gut the interior, get rid of A/C and powersteering and that is more than 200lbs wieght savings right there! You just got to be creative with these cars, thats all!

Re: Any 2nd gen owners out there?
Well, this is quite an old thread, but I just found this site, so I'll put my two cents worth.
I own a 1986 Honda Prelude Si. I'm the original owner. Bought it in June 1986 from a Portland, OR dealer and drove it back to Boise. It has 214949 miles on it. Still runs great. Is BY FAR the best car I've ever owned, and I intend to drive it until the wheels fall off.
Speaking of wheels: I've got original mag wheels, bought from the Honda dealer, but I've never seen them on any other Honda. They need refurbing, but the plastic center inserts are chrome and black, with the Honda "H" on them, and mine are going bad. Anybody know where I could get some more?
Thanks!

Re: Any 2nd gen owners out there?
I've got an 86 prelude special edition.
Lost the wheels many years ago when my mom sold them $20 in a garage sale.
Anyone know how much difference there is between the 86 and 87 models or where I can find part swapability (is that a word?)
