aargh-er, I need help re: 88 Accord 5spd, carb,: run issues
after timing belt change. After double checking everything, tensioning the t-belt according to Helms' and then manually rotating the engine eight more times to check timing marks, put all back together, put a bit of gas in the carb and fired it up. Ran 20-25 seconds at high idle, sounding ok, then rpms ran down till it stalled.
and it won't restart. Got spark at all the plugs, tried starting fluid, no go .
Got a lighter in my pocket and I'm eyeballing the can of starting fluid and thinking 'nice warm CAR-beque'.
PLEASE. does anyone have some suggestions as where to look for cause of non-start or thoughts on what to do next?
Thanks!
