89 Accord DX stumbles abit
I had the timing belt replaced on the wifes 89 accord a month or so ago.
I just took it out this weekend and it seems to stumble along. Really noticable in first gear and in fifth at cruising speed.
It drives well, just does not seem that smooth. Not like it was before. It also seems to be idling alot lower than before.. around 700rpm, it used to be around 950-1000 rpm.
Also mileage was dropping from low 30's to mid 20's, prior to belt replacement, seems as though it never recovered.
by the way this accord is on its second new t-belt.. it has almost 190K on it.
So I am looking for thoughts before I take it back to have the mech to check it out.
Could belt be off a tooth? timing need adjustment.. what are the thoughts here
Help will be appreciated...
