87 civic with a 89 d16a install
so my buddy got a 87 carbed si, and wants to drop in a 89 integra motor (dohc d16a) any one know what needs to be done to make it work, mounts, wireing axels, etc etc. best way to do the swap. let me know thanks.

Basically you need the complete drivetrain, 2 of the mounts, axles, linkage, knuckles, brakes, ecu, and a lot of wiring. Aside from that youll need some of the fuel system to convert it to FI.

im sure there are pretty many pics of the swap on there. Its a common swap, even if most are done into Si model CRXs that are already FI. It would be easiest if your buddy could find a complete donor car, since buying the parts piecemeal would likely end up costing more.
