Hi guys.

Just picked up an 89 accord 5spd. 160,000 miles. Pretty good condition.

The high idle I'm probably not too worried about, either a vacuum leak or just adjust it on the throttle body.

However, this part I don't know.
I've driven older hondas before. I know when you shift, there is something that "holds" the throttle open or blips it during shifts. The problem with mine is it will do this to almost 4K RPM. If I wait longer to shift... say about 3500-4000 RPM it does not do this.

Any ideas? I've tried simply unplugging the clutch switch, with no help.

One more thing. I have NEVER, EVER seen such a complicated emissions system in my life. Is there a diagram available for the vacuum lines? Factory service manual? Something better than the haynes manual. Not model specific enough.
