My 86 crx won't start, i noticed a steady dripping of fuel, eventually a puddle forms. I jacked it up and its coming from on top of the tank somewhere.

I can't really see it, but i was wondering if anyone has a fuel tank diagram for the 86 crx.
I wanted to see before i pulled the tank if it could be a line leaking. Not sure if there are lines on the carbureted model on top of the tank.

Go here, look up at the top of the page and click on Service Manuals, click on Chapter 11 (Fuel - Carbureted) of the 87 Civic Factory Service Manual, and read page 11-20. You should see this pic...



So ya, plenty of lines on top of the tank. Isn't there an access cover to the top of the tank in the hatch area somewhere, or am I thinking of a different car?

i have an '84 carbureted model and had to drop the tank to switch out the float, it wasnt that diffcult, except for disconnecting some lines from under the fender where the fill tube is, and the tank itself was some what stuck to the underside of the car, but did come off, apperently aged on. As for what all the stuff is on top does im not sure, i think i remember a pump, the float, and maybe something else. It is unfortunate though that it cant be accessed from inside the hatch.
