'85 Honda Crx Si Mugen
Hopefully I can get some help. I bought this car from a guy brought it home & turned it on. It worked perfectly...well my dad messed with it & when I went to try it out again it doesn't turn on. The engine rotates but will not start. Can anyone help me???

I have no idea what he did with it. I was in town so I wasn't at home when he did it. That's the thing that I'm mad at cuz I have no clue. Lately I haven't had a good relationship with him so I haven't talked to him. I was reading it could be either the compression, fuel or ignition. The compressions good cuz one of my friends checked it. I'll mess with it today again. Thanks for helping...well you know ha ha

You pissed him off and he did something to your car on purpose..hahaha. Jusk kidding.
Maybe be he mess with the timing? Or he try to do a tune up and mixed up the plug wire?

Lol I don't think he would do that....then again I really wouldn't know ha ha. I won't mess with his vehicles. I'll check the firing order to see if its correct.

Is it running yet?
If not you are on the right track here.
Check for spark at the spark plug.
Compression was checked with a gauge?
If you have spark and compression, check that you have fuel making it out of the injectors.
These three items are basically listed by ease of checking. Once you find one that is not working it is somewhat more difficult to check the individual components, but it is all a matter of systematic elimination.
If not you are on the right track here.

@akong- I'm not even gonna bother asking my dad.
@Kyle Hunter- My friend checked the Compression & it is good no problem their. I do get spark I even cleaned the spark plugs. I need to check the fuel...it turned on before & I drove it. I know it works just don't now what happened. My stepdad got a mechanic to come to the house & check them out. Hopefully he can get them running.

@Kyle- Ha ha true that...their was set backs on the mechanic coming to check out the car but this Saturday he should come. Hopefully for sure I'll know. In the mean time I'm just gonna clean it, paint it put some pieces back together till the day comes.
