Sounds great, I just picked up a 1980 1500 dx and looking to upgrade to a newer brake system, single cam vtec. A 1992 Civic hatch D15b vtec will be a donor for all parts.... Axles idk yet..? not much info
Look forward to reading your input.

That's awesome bro, this will be my second post so I will be able to post a new thread showing mines.
I actually spoke with a buddy of mines in a machine shop and told me to bring my engine in to him while It is in the paint shop so that he can tell me what I can do as far as pistons, head job, new valves and very possibly making it ITB's.

south of seattle fortunately, do you have any info on them axles? nw driveline wont, richies wont, called a few other drive train joints, still nothing. they have to cut splines which i guess is the pain...considering i have input and output ends they just need to duplicate, i dont understand the difficulty.

There's no "blue prints" for mounts for this swap.
and axles are the easiest part. your stock 82 axles will work perfect.
Text me @ 214-662-4253 I can tell you anything you need to know.
I've got a d16z6 in my 83 civic 1500s and have done several D16 swaps into 1g and 2g civics.
I'm rarely on Honda-Tech anymore due to time, but feel free to text me and I can help you with practically anything you need regarding these swaps.
BUT if you ever do need custom axles, and for future reference for anybody out there, Dutchman in Portland can custom cut you splines for around $25 each. That was the going rate several years ago.
Again, d16 into a 2G won't need custom axles though.
