pre-75 true doesnt require smog anymore but 76 and newer require smog even if its 30 years or older. it doesnt roll over every year now. so if your car is 76+ your assed.

that stinks. where i live, in VA, i have no emissions.. but where i used to live, also in VA, i did every 2 years.. it's by county here.

I live in md, and just recently put historic tags on my 84 accord, so no emissions and cheap insurance.
Added bonus, historic tags on a honda is pretty baller. Not enough pre 88 owners take advantage of this.

Unless your state has laws to the contrary (CA), any car over 25 years old has federal DOT/EPA exemption.
This means that it really isn't subject to any sort of regulations whatsoever, other than maybe needing to have turn signals and headlights.
