recently my best friends 87 CRX Si Head seized up (oil light came on for 20 seconds and the car shut off)

diagnosis was the tooth that keeps the cam gear aligned on the cam snapped..

the motor still has compression on the turnover but the head is doen for..

anywyas to my point.. we have a 2nd gen crx si head (16v) and we were wondering if we would run into a problem using this head on the d15 block. because we cant seem to source a 12v si head anywhere.. any info would be greatly appreciated we need this car up again.. (he's driving my rabbit and im stuck on the street bike) lol

no, you can not use that head. atleast i'm pretty sure you can't. a few people on redpepperracing.com have used the 86-89 integra heads with success. check on there about the hydra swap.

Like E-AT me said, you can use the 86-89 Integra DOHC head, with a bit of work. Or you can use any 84-87 Civic/CRX head just use the stock intake manifold so you dont have to convert to Carb.
