1980 Honda Accord Ek1 Motor
2 Attachment(s)
So me and my wife picked up a 1980 Honda Accord hatchback for dirt cheap. Car still runs and drives but the motor probably has a compromised head gasket but still runs like a champ. Got this car to honestly test my mechanic and fabrication skills and the goal is to buy a donor rsx and make a K swap happen into this thing. It’ll be a lot of work but fun. So so I have a few questions about selling some pieces off the car. Does anyone know how much these motors sell for? Have yet to see one for sell to even know a ball park price for mine. It’s a running and driving 3 speed auto and I wanna sell off the whole swap since I won’t be using it. Also does anyone know any good pages for these old school cars? Below ive dropped some pictures of it. She’s kinda rusty but it’s all in the fun of building and restoring. If anyone could help me on those 2 questions it would be much appreciated. Thanks |
Re: 1980 Honda Accord Ek1 Motor
I have a spare EK1 Motor that I pulled out of a parts car. The owner said the car ran but I did not try to verify. I am not doing anything with the motor and will make you a heck of deal...Free.. I live in Portland Oregon.

Re: 1980 Honda Accord Ek1 Motor
I just took my 1981 EK motor and 5 speed transmission to the junkyard yesterday. The only thing of value was my Weber 32/36 carb and the electronic distributor which I took off prior to my junkyard run. Those iron block motors are just boat anchors.
